This chapter is being split up into smaller sections because it's having the reproducible code inside for the figures, and some of those are in different types of programming language.

I need to check that the one in Rmarkdown has the figure references working as I borrowed these things but I don't know if it works: https://bookdown.org/yihui/rmarkdown/bookdown-markdown.html#bookdown-markdown
