Accomodation for “do not resuscitate” or “do not intubate” status for patients is required for N3C. Hopkins preprint manuscript cites importance of this data in COVID populations.

Hi Chris, I did not find any DNR codes in OMOP CDM datasource. Traditionally, patient directives were not captured in PCORnet CDM.

It can be easily requested from the sites, however. Most patients are asked to enter their DNR preferences when they go to outpatient procedures clinics. I know at all academic hospitals collect patient DNR preferences during the patient registration time for any type of procedures.

If needed, we can ask each site to extract that information, loaded into the N3C_Table and submit it to us as part of their data submission.
