Currently after you boot a ship minio is sitting there doing nothing but wasting ram until and only if you decide to connect it.
If you want to use your own S3 instance there's no way to disable minio per ship (as far as I know). Even then, it would be a better UX to not create a minio instance in the first place, so you don't have to ensure the minio is empty before deleting it or warning the user about this.
