Unable to login with GitHub #226

Did you search for the problem in other open issues in this repo?

Yes

Tell us about the problem

Log in with GitHub not working. Log in with facebook not available. Log in with Live id working, but saved projects not available with error message: "Unable to load projects An error occurred while loading your projects. Please try again later." After page reload you are not signed in again.

Did you try it outside of {N} Playground?

Which browser are you using?

Are there any errors/warnings logged in your browser console?

yes in browser console: "ERROR Error: Uncaught (in promise): TypeError: n.user.displayName is null vtpD/t.LoginComponent</e.prototype.firebaseAuth/</<@https://play.nativescript.org/main.247477b5d1d96afcee5b.js:1984:223713 a/</<@https://play.nativescript.org/main.247477b5d1d96afcee5b.js:985:6184030 a/<@https://play.nativescript.org/main.247477b5d1d96afcee5b.js:985:6184135 ..."

Which platform(s) does your issue occur on?

Please tell us how to recreate the issue with as much detail as possible.

Go to https://play.nativescript.org press Log In button, select GitHub. Sign in into GitHub, allow access for Playground. After this you will be redirected back to play.nativescript.org and log in window will be shown with endless progress animation.

I am getting the same result. I see this is opened on June 2021, does that mean playground is dead?

I have the same problem, so still not resolved as of mid-March 2022. Not being able to log in makes Playground much less useful since you can't save your work. The problem is seen in different browsers and different Mac OS.
