Coming from a Flash and After Effects background, it's hard for me to use Natron's dopesheet.
Reason is that there is not a frame counter/navigation strip over the timeline. Instead for some reason Natron has a separate frame navigator. That looks and feels very confusing to use compared to standard programs.
I've used Flash, After Effects, Krita, Clip Studio Paint, Blender and they all have a timeline with the frame counter on top of the timeline window.
Natron should follow the same guidelines for the Dopesheet to be easier to use. Have the content at the bottom and the frame counter on top. You should be able to drag the playhead and click to jump to a specific frames. It should also implement After Effects's shortcut of pressing Page Up and Page Down to go to next or previous keyframe.
I understand the frame strip as it is now is useful for when you are not viewing the Dopesheet, perhaps the Dopesheet timeline should just have its own frame strip for that.
