future: option for scratchpad site to store live data on user's own cloud storage - performance and portability #8
this could enhance performance and also assist data portability.
performance - because it could offload some of the database storage processing requirement externally.
Note that this would be an option, not necessarily the default or across the board. idea came into my head so wanted to capture it.
