Enable Glossary module on http://earlyconifers.myspecies.info/ #2015

Description:

In your FAQ "How do I create a glossary?" you mentioned that "To set up the glossary you need to contact the site administrator because only administrators have access to the glossary module". I guess that's Simon?

I already made a vocabulary called "glossary" on our scratchpad http://earlyconifers.myspecies.info, but I am sure this will be expanded during time. How to go on from here?

The glossary module has been enabled and set up. Note, you have very few nodes with "filtered text" that will be used by the glossary module, but it can be seen working on http://earlyconifers.myspecies.info/content/stem-1 .

Please reply to this message via the new Scratchpad Issues website (reached via the Issues tab when logged into your website) Redmine issue 207 .

Oh yes, this is something I was planning to ask for too. Could the glossary be enabled on both http://gpi.myspecies.info/ and http://apotheca.myspecies.info/?

I've created a Glossary vocabulary in each, but they only contain one term so far since I'm a bit short of time right now. Hope that's not a problem.

Thanks very much. Kristina

I've enabled the Glossary module and set it up to highlight terms from the Glossary vocabulary on both of your sites. Let me know if it isn't working for you.

Note. You're likely to experience issues when adding additional terms to the Glossary. You're advised to add all terms you would like in the glossary first.

Thanks Simon. What issues are we likely to experience if we build the glossary as we go along on the GPI site? The problem is we often don't know the definitions until later - we were hoping to use the module to help clarify abbreviated place names and collector/herbarium initials etc. Can issues be avoided/resolved if I do things a certain way?

I think you'll find that any new terms you add, may not be highlighted. It's an issue I'm aware of, so it will get fixed. In the meantime, please just email me if you add any additional terms to the glossary vocabulary, and I can ensure they're highlighted on your site.

Dear team,

In my custom content unit "citation" I enabled field "diagnosis" with filtered text and I got some strange results (see below). I guessed from this that there should not be any html codes in the description of the glossary terms and I removed those. After that it still looked weird. What can I do now to repair this? Do i have to wait a certain time?

Best regards,
