Please can you attach the Word file you experienced this with. Were you pasting the entire document, or a small portion? Were there paragraph marks before/after the selected text?

Hi Simon, attached is an expert from the doc I was pasting from. I was pasting different paragraphs into their relevant subject fields, one by one using the 'paste from word'. Looks like the html code got scrubbed from the original issue post, but it adds a break to the beginning of the text.

Eli. This doesn't happen for me, although it may be down to the browser/OS/Office combination. If you're experiencing this elsewhere, then it suggests the issue isn't with the Scratchpads, and that there is not going to be much I can do to fix this.

As it is now three months since this issue was last updated, I am marking it as "fixed".
Description:
The CKEditor appends '
' to all text pasted using the 'paste from Word' function. The only workaround I know of is to toggle to plain text, erase the code, then toggle back. I know it's not a bug on the Scratchpad side as I've experienced it with Antweb.org's species page editor, too.Attachments:
