Regular drops of the Internet Connection (mostly overnight). I enabled the full log but I can't see anything strage happening around the time of the connection drop.

I'm puzzled because it's been rock solid with the previous versions (386.5_0 & 386.5_2) for years, then about a week ago I've installed 386.7 and since then I've had daily issues. Exhausted, today, I reverted back to 386.5_2 and I will wait a few days at least to see if there is any change.
I can't find any other posts here talking about issues so I guess it's only me or I'm just the first...
For context:
After the second or third drop (about a week ago) I decided to factory reset through the interface, the same night we've experienced a drop.
I then proceeded with a hard reset (as per Asus manual - WPS button). Did not solve either.
I then tried to restore 386.5_2 but I couldn't through the interface (it was just rebooting without changes) so I tried to use the Asus-Rescue tool, and wasn't effective because every time, around 10-20% mark, the tool gave an error. I tried again and again for days until today that, for some mysterious reasons, it let me flash FW_RT_AC68U_300438648262 (which I tried flash before but without success) through the interface after a simple factory reset (with the "Initialize all settings..." checkbox checked).
I'd love to know how to actually reset everything on the router, I'm aware of multiple "memories" locations that might or might not need to be reset depending the kind of operations you're trying to perform. I just want to erase all next time it happens but I don't really know how, is anyone aware of a guide or a procedure posted somewhere?
