call contact from search not working with simple dialer #1928

Clicking call button on contact from search results does nothing with simple dialer as default dialer app.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install Simple Dialer app
  2. Set simple dialer as default dialer for system and kiss launcher
  3. Search contact you wish to call
  4. Press call button from search results
  5. Nothing happens

Expected behavior Expected call to be sent through simple dialer

Additional information

Additional context I have tried setting simple dialer as the default dialer. All other dialer related functionality works as expected, e.g. when i click on the contact from search it opens the contact in simple dialer.

If with other dialers the button works, why do you suspect the launcher it at fault?
