PWA support #2292

Hi

I'm using a couple progressive web apps and I can't find a way to get them to show up in the KISS app menu. I'm sorry if if missed something in the settings that's obvious.

is there a way to make this happen? if I save a pwa from chromium browsers or firefox, it makes a widget on the home screen that looks like an app icon. I can swap to the default launcher and see the pwa but it's not in KISS anywhere.

I think what you call widget is in fact a shortcut. Depending on your Android version shortcuts are handled differently. If I'm not mistaken currently the shortcuts can only be seen by the default launcher.

It seems to depend on the Android version. Currently I'm using LineageOS 21 and there is an option in the search settings to show shortcuts. On an old device running LineageOS 14 this setting is missing and those shortcuts don't appear in the KISS app list.

it actually is a widget that looks like a shortcut. the widget UI gets triggered and perhaps this is something to do with it? I don't know. it's a would be nice, keep it in mind, fix it of you happen to notice something request. :)

It seems to be a KISS issue. PWA's do not appear on at least Android 7. However they will show up on KISS running on Android 10+ on some of my other phones.

PWA's will show using @TBog's own TinyBit launcher and other launchers on all phones including the one on 7.0. Just not on KISS.

In fact, this is the reason my oldest phone is on Tinybit.
