got everything installed properly. using the beta already. mod is downloaded but will not appear in the plugins section and therefore cant be enabled. i could probably get around this by hard downloading it into the games DATA folder but wanted to report the issue

small edit bc i forgot to put this. i am assuming this is why its not appearing in game not a hundred percent sure

This sounds like a Vortex/your installation issue rather than an MCM issue, but since I happen to use Vortex myself, I'll try to help.

As always, make sure your Vortex is up to date - shouldn't matter in this case, but never a bad thing to check: image

First, even if you decide to perform a manual install, Vortex should detect MCM the next time you Deploy, so that is always an option. Honestly, if a manual install gets the mod working in-game, I'd just stop there. As long as it's working, troubleshooting a minor issue like this isn't worth the Excedrin. That being said, I just uninstalled, deleted the archive, re-downloaded, reinstalled, enabled and deployed. Works fine in FO4 v1.10.984 (v1.40 BETA 2) and FO4 v1.10.163 (v1.39), both via Vortex.

First, check if any of these settings are enabled in Vortex->Settings->Interface: image

Depending on which of them are enabled, then MCM is likely already enabled and deployed.

On your Mods tab, click on the three lines next to "Status" in order to group your mods by Status. Make sure each group (if more than one) is expanded, then click in the search box under "Mod Name" and type in "Mod ". This will verify if MCM is installed, according to Vortex. image

If none of this works, I would go into the following folders and delete (or backup, if you have settings to save) all hings MCM, then attempt to reinstall via Vortex from the NexusMods page:

Lastly, if all of this still doesn't solve the issue, all you have left is the nuclear option: kill everything (Vortex, all mods and archives, FO4) and start over with a completely clean install.

Honestly, like I said at the beginning of this post, it's not worth the headache, as long as the mod is working. :-)

Hopefully, something here helps. Good luck!
