Search with punctuation marks #214

  1. Go http://www.nebel.tv/blogs/
  2. In the Search field at the bottom type "read more" (without quotes). The following 2 articles will be shown. http://www.nebel.tv/?s=read+more
  3. In the Search field at the bottom type "read more." (without quotes but with a full stop). Nothing will be found.

My questions:

  1. Looks like the search entry even without quotes acts almost like a precise search. There are several articles with "more" and "read" (ready, readiness, etc.), but only 2 are shown - the ones in which these two words are present. Is this correct?
  2. I would expect the punctuation marks to be ignored while searching. Would you? (Looks strange to me to have no results for "starepravo.", for example, or only one match found for "starepravo:"). Please advise.

Please, comment on standard search settings options. We don't need anything to develop here.
