Windows finds a trojaner #322

Hey, i cant download the nb minder zip for windows.

My pc cancels the download due to a virus.

Same issue here with NBMiner v37.5. The previous version (NBMiner v37.3) has no issues.

Most if not all security software flag cypto miners as malware or containing viruses. As long as you are getting the software for a reputable site (like this one), you should not be worried about it. You will need to disable your security software and add an exception to the folder where the program will reside before you can successfully download it and run it. You will have to do the same to Windows Defender. If you don't add the exception, next time your security program does a scan, it will remove the miner.

Warning! I had the same ftrouble, and Windows security quarantined the file when I was trying to extract it. It found Trojan:Win32/Phonzy.A!ml. The previous version works ok.

Dev just answered 200% the problem is a false flag, anyone passing by come on now, if you are mining you have tech skills and are not some armature at this point, stop losing money and wasting your precious time avoiding miner programs, guess what is the only miner that does not get flagged by defender without miner program having additional code to shut it down unless it is legit which many do, the ONLY ONE is the ETH miner in the windows APP store, yeah I am not trolling. and Windows will delete and/or quarantine even weeks later needed files within the miner software folder. Anyone with this issue need only do what the DEV has said above plus manually go in and force windows to ignore each and every file in the entire directory 1 by 1, as well as allow ALL of the folder not just the folder even hidden files through the firewall rule base. I am not being mean, guys we are miners we are techs, come on. BTW if you were using linux your hash rate is higher on all gpus and cpus. MINE ON!!!!

Some antiviruses detect mining softwares as Trojan:Win32/Mamson.A!ac. This can be misleading and antivirus vendors should correct this. In recent version of windows defender does not have this problem. so I think nbminer is safe If you are worried you can send it for analysis to security research companies.
