lhr mode results in no improvement. #368

Trying -lhr with a new evga 3080 ftw3 hybrid (verified lhr card) but results in no hash rate improvement. Attempted -lhr 66-70 with ethash algo. Let me know if you need more info.

thx for your reply, my GPU is Galaxy 3080ti and use MSI Afterbunner to set your overclock parameter, but somehow it still stuck at 68m hashrate. I guess this issue may due to the different manufacturer.

You will want to play Around with the settings to dial it in. Example if I turn the memory up to 1400 the mhs drops to 50

Under linux (fedora 34) i also see nothing on my 3080ti FE diver 470.63.01 |enable|3080ti| 52.94 M| |disable|3080ti| 54.28 M|

No over or downclocking

I run a second GC, a 1080 FE, if this can impact how that work.

If i missed anything, let me know. None the less, breaking nvidia softlock of the hardware is verynice, outside of mining. Thank for doing it

According to my attempts, the hash rate which can achieve depends on the mem frequency. For example, I set the mem overclock to zero it can achieve 73m, but if I turn up to 200 then it drop to 65m. As far as I know, the sweetest mem overclock parameter varies on different manufacturers.

Try starting with default afterburner settings and then tune the memory clock etc. That worked for me. Also better use -lhr 0, which sets the optimal for your card

I've tried many OC settings (too many to list) resulting in only decreasing hash rate. I was thinking I got unlucky in the silicon lotto but the initial ethash is right around 100 for about 5 seconds...

Currently mining RVN with NBMiner - OC settings of +1100~ MEM, -100~ core is the best I could do resulting in about 44MH/s and sub 70c temps.

Will try -lhr 0 but I think there is something else going on. Maybe new bios from nvidia/evga since this is a brand new card?

Ok, this might have helped. I am approaching 70 Mh/s now.

-lhr 70 ETH Do not look at the power. I did the shunt mod. PWR x1.4

Can someone else please test this under linux ? I feel like this only work on windows but don't have any on hand. At least right now on linux i get exactly the same perf out of other miner, ~51-57M

HI, also for me -lhr doesn't work, i have 3060 laptop with 14-15 M, chaning the parameters or using turn off it doesn't change, P.s. I don't want oc

Maybe is the driver, i have the dhc one, but the nicehash guide teels to must have the standard one, but in win 10 i can't install it

Not really I tried multiple driver version without any luck.

In videos that shows this unlock, in the logs there is image

and for me, it didn't appear, this is a suspect why we don't have performance increase
