NTFS USB Access Extremely Slow #464

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Mount NTFS Drive via USB
2. Select any folder
3. If folder contains more than 1 or 2 items, load takes a very long time.
With around 30 items, load can take almost a minute before seeing file
list.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
On GeeXboX the load is almost instant however I can't play the movies for
some reason. They play fine in MPlayer-CE however. GREAT software by the
way. It's made my time travelling really great.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
.75 on 4.1U

Do you have a modchip?
No

Did you install the cIOS and used USB Port0?
This should enable USB2 and you should have massiv speed improvements.

Which cIOS should I install? I also don't see any option in any part of the
software to choose which USB port.

i have the same problem, folders with 10+ files takes a lot more time to load

for example 9 files take 1sec, 10 files take 20sec to show in folder :(

4.1e, HermesCios, USB Port 0, MP_CE 0.75
