SPAM fighting #1625

This SPAM fighting issue had been occurs since my first use of TT1.5 until now TC1.8.6.

Apparently it comes up heavier now. Everyday can receive over 1000 SPAM. Think this might be an issue need to be resolved asap.

Ways of protection been taken by me:

  1. Disabled Trackback.
  2. Enabled and activated Defensio AntiSpam plugin
  3. Enabled EAS online Antispam Service plugin
  4. Blocked/Blacklisted lots of IPs
  5. Enabled HC_CommentVerify which uses reCaptcha as prevention.

Yet the problem still persist.

Any solution is greatly appreciated. BTW, my blog is running under multi-user TC1.8.6 environment.

One more info to add: I have manually disabled the m & i folder under interface. Just trying to close all the possible SPAM route.
