Sorry to hear this. I can understand it is hard to crack the first internship or job.

I would suggest you do the following:

• Strong GitHub profile. A good project to showcase your work.
• Write blogs about your learnings, experiences in the DS field.
• Do open-source contribution.
• Go to Meetups/conferences, do networking.
• Do not hesitate to ask for an internship or job.
• Linkedin is the best place to connect for job and internships.

• Do some Kaggle (Competitions & Kernels) as it can give you good portfolio, learning and also being part of a community.
