any alternative to this library? i need custom search functionality like in this library.

This library is still working, it just doesn't seem have active maintenance anymore. I'm still using it in my project. Works so far so good (not perfect) with angular 4.

@diandsonc Have you tried this library with Angular 5? I'm thinking to using angular 5 too, but not sure if it will work since it's depends on Angular 2.

@sh977218 Yes. It's working with Angular 5 without bug.

This one is a great alternative: https://basvandenberg.github.io/ng-select/#/home

I'm not a big fan of valor-software's components because some of them have huge performance issues (ng2-select included) with medium data sets (=> 200 items)
