We have switched off the server so we aren't collecting any data whatsoever

Got it, thank you. So we could collect the feedback if it were running. I think it should be safe and ethical to collect feedback and other game data if

1). No names, IP, or other Personally Identifiable Info is collected.

2). We ask their consent to collect their feedback through the following statement:

"Would you like to help us make the game better by allowing us to collect anonymous data such as statistics?

[YES (and I am 13 years old or over)] / [NO]

NOTE: No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected in compliance with the GDPR."

Could this work do you think, please?

We can do that. We only collect a unique game id for every game through to distinguish between different play
