Shouldn't this:

        function _fnColumnIndex(iColumnIndex) {
            if (properties.bUseColVis)
                return iColumnIndex;
            else
                return oTable.fnSettings().oApi._fnVisibleToColumnIndex(oTable.fnSettings(), iColumnIndex);
            //return iColumnIndex;
            //return oTable.fnSettings().oApi._fnColumnIndexToVisible(oTable.fnSettings(), iColumnIndex);
        }

be that:

        function _fnColumnIndex(iColumnIndex) {
            if (!properties.bUseColVis)
                return iColumnIndex;
            else
                return oTable.fnSettings().oApi._fnVisibleToColumnIndex(oTable.fnSettings(), iColumnIndex);
            //return iColumnIndex;
            //return oTable.fnSettings().oApi._fnColumnIndexToVisible(oTable.fnSettings(), iColumnIndex);
        }
