Atm to have NeoBackup ask for the permissions needed to run call logs and sms backups you need to restart the app.
Describe the primary solution
I think it would be more intuitive and straightforward if NB would open the prompt for those permissions right after enabling special backups in settings. Also, opening the default sms app dialog in NB would be very comfortable, but on which occasion(s) this would happen should probably be thought of. You don't want to have NB as the default sms app all the time, but just for the restore process, so it wouldn't make that much sense to bind this action with the permissions prompt. Maybe only invoke it when restoring special.smsmms.json? But then, I don't know how this would work out for a batch restore.
This has been already brought up in the Telegram group and it's not considered high priority, but I'm opening an issue for it so it can be tracked better.
