Neo Store 1.03 exits without warning and or message. #637

Neo Store 1.03 exits without warning and or message when one is in the Latest Apps page and taps on an app in the New Apps list. Neo Store 1.03 may exit at the tap, but most often when this occurs it is after the info page opens.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Tap on any app in the New Apps list (note I have Alternative Navigation Bar enabled).
  2. Neo Store will exit at least 25% of the time; there will be no message or warning.

Expected behavior Neo Store should not exit simply when tapping on or entering the information page.

Screenshots If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

Relevant information:

Note this occurs about 25% of the time, not every time. After Neo Store exits, it opens normally on restart. This is happening on two different devices running two different ROMs, both rooted.

Neo Store 1.03 was installed with F-Droid because the update fails from 1.02 to 1.03 when attempting update from within Neo Store itself (update will download, but will not install).

Thanks for reporting!

I should have stated that I have the Alternative New Apps list enabled.

I got aware of the leak yesterday and just released a hotfix release: https://github.com/NeoApplications/Neo-Store/releases/tag/1.0.4 (will take couple of days for Official F-Droid to update, so I'll keep it till it's there).

The link downloads 1.03, not 1.04.

Note: Neo Store still will not update itself. Still need F-droid to do it.

Hi! Just wanted to mention here that my crashes were resolved by: deleting user data, and then avoiding the root installation method, and keeping it at the default session installer. Sorry that I can't give more feedback, I'm not too much of an expert in android.
