I found out that another canyon nearby was swarmed by crap mobs. After I killed a whole bunch of them, suddenly we had more spawn in the mc5 canyon as well. So it seems like they share the spawn.

To get to the canyon you go to the left from mc5, and pass the GR.
Keep following to left
This was totally swarmed with mobs and it even continued forwards with more and more mobs. No wonder why there was no spawns left for the starter canyon....
There's a similar one to the right aw well even though this one seems to be frequented by people.
The problem
Mowers for the Pistol Pete are hard to find
Expected behavior
They should exist in the canyon. :)
