iframe issue again #1

Open jessicablois opened 6 years ago

I updated text on the "About" page (https://www.neotomadb.org/about/category/about) and I got another error in how the map is rendering.

This happened a few weeks ago, and Mike S. said it was related to the ckeditor tool.

Fixing this should be somewhat high priority since Jack will be handing out flyers with our website info soon!

OK, I saw that it was fixed (or it fixed itself). But then I needed to make one other minor edit (to bold a few lines) and now when I've updated it again the iframe isn't working. Is there something I need to install on my computer to fix this?

I did fix this, but didn't have the opportunity to comment more on the issue. The immediate fix is to remove the iframe element and add again using the embed media widget (first saving the URL and dimensions). I did this within the admin interface. I haven't tested with the user interface edit form. The bigger issue to correct is why this element is posted as text instead of HTML. Something to investigate with the ckeditor tool Perhaps related to the sites change to https.

Hi Mike,

Yes, I saw that it was fixed, but then I broke it again.

I just tried fixing it myself by deleting the iframe and re-adding it. However, in my view, when I click “embed media”, I just get a dialog that says "Paste Embed Code Here”. Repasting the original source code doesn’t solve anything. So perhaps the admin interface has different tools that users.

Best, Jessica

OK, I’m temporarily updating the page by removing the iframe element. This way, people visiting the page don’t see the source code, which seems odd.

Here is all of the code I’ve deleted:
