Hi, sorry to be late to reply. I had some adventures with a tree falling on my house (among many, many trees falling elsewhere around the neighborhood!) But we're almost back to normal again now.
I'm not sure where the idea of using dnspy came from. You don't need to recompile anything (and if you did get a mind to do that, you'd want to just download the source code from github and build it from visual studio).
Anyway, all you need to do is:
That's the procedure you follow for translating most SDV mods.
Dear NermNermNerm,
I hope you're doing well! My name is Anya, and I'm writing to let you know how much I love your "Junimatic" mod for Stardew Valley. It's really amazing, and I thought it would be a great idea to make it more accessible to Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking players by translating it.
I’ve already completed the translation, but I ran into some difficulties while trying to test it. This is my first experience working with modding, and I’m still learning the ropes. I followed the instructions you provided for modifying the file path through dnSpy, but unfortunately, the program won’t let me compile the changes. It points out errors in the code, such as missing or extra parentheses and commas, and I’m unsure about how to proceed with fixing them without accidentally breaking the code.
I’m a bit worried about editing the code myself, as I’m not familiar with this process. I’ve made sure everything with the translation itself is perfect, even working with ChatGPT to review everything, but I can’t get past the errors in dnSpy.
For reference, I’ve been working with the latest version of the mod released on Nexus.
I truly regret adding any more problems to your plate, and I’d be so grateful for any help or advice you might have. If it’s easier, I can send you the translation files directly, or if you have specific guidance on how to make this process smoother, I’d be really appreciative!
Thank you so much for your time and for creating such a wonderful mod. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards, Anya
