I'm surprised I haven't found this issue, apologies if it has been reported. Your extension doesn't seem to work on gnome 3.10. I use archlinux, it has updated gnome to 3.10 and brek your extension (and some others).

You can see some comments in https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/613/weather/

Yep I just updated too. Let's go ! :)

Do you need help with 3.10 compatibility or does #154 fix that?

Neroth commented 10 years ago

This extension will not reback to the Yahoo version.

For now it workwork on 3.10, but not 100% ;) and break compat with 3.8 :/ ...

I will make a GNOME 3.10 branch ;).

(BTW: There's also http://openweathermap.org/ which provides a no-cost cc-by-sa data API, if you're looking for another data source to replace Yahoo!'s weather.)

Since 3.10 gweather include owm. I agree gweather is not the best solution for now (f***ing location.xml) but it's pure GNOME, and this is a pure gnome extension. So if you want a better support, talk with gcampax, maintainer of gweather.
