option dialog flicker with win7 desktop compositing off

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. turn off windows 7 desktop compositing (which is required by aero glass)
2. open mintty, open option dialog, hover option dialog over mintty
3. switch between option pages

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected: no flicker
instead: flicker, the whole mintty term window redraw erasing the part of 
option dialog that intersect with it, and option dialog has to redraw the part

What versions of mintty, Cygwin/MSYS, and Windows are you using?
CYGWIN_NT-6.1-WOW64 PC 1.7.6(0.230/5/3) 2010-08-16 16:06 i686 Cygwin
Windows 7 x64
mintty 0.8.2
