Hi @PritchacNetapp
Thank you for your feedback. I'll discuss it with the team and update the doc accordingly.
Hi Yvonne,
Just as an example, http://www.cosonok.com/2023/05/bes-53248-upgrade-from-3446-to-31003.html
All encompassing how-to which includes the fix for the ISL issue we see.
Hi Yvonne, Is there a timeframe you can provide on when this will be updated?
@PritchacNetapp @jdonnellnetapp thanks for your feedback. The upgrade process for switch BES-53248 has been updated and is available online here: https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-systems-switches/switch-bes-53248/upgrade-switch-overview.html Closing this issue.

Summary
This upgrade page still doesn't correctly reflect the potential impact of following the upgrade procedure when performing the upgrade from 3.4.4.6 > 3.7.0.4+
Page mentions Note that after upgrading BES-53248 cluster switches from EFOS 3.3.x.x or 3.4.x.x to EFOS 3.7.0.4 or 3.8.0.2, Inter-Switch Links (ISLs) and port channel are marked in the Down state. See this KB article: BES-53248 Cluster Switch NDU failed upgrade to EFOS 3.7.0.4 and later for further details.
Having a potential outage if not carefully read / performed might warrant a bit more than a "note" here.
Also we're still getting a number of cases with customers not able to perform this by themselves (always seems to be this particular version upgrade) so I don't know if we should have a separate page for the step by step for this particular upgrade, since it seems difficult for customers to follow the procedure we have on the doc page as well as then trying to implement what is mentioned in the KB.
There was mention that the procedure was going to be altered to follow the cisco procedure which would bypass this but I've seen no update on that.
