step 6 of this guide says to disable the auto-revert

cluster1::> network interface modify -vserver Cluster -lif -auto-revert false

step 9 says to enable the ports on the clusterswitch step 10 says to check if all the cluster ports are back home

However since we disable auto-revert they won't return home automatically. So either auto-revert should be enabled or there is an extra step between 9 and 10 needed to manually revert the cluster lifs.
