Replace the boot media - AFF A800

Summary

Good afternoon,

While reviewing this document I noticed that in Step 3 starting with item 5, we are connecting power to the controller module prior to inserting the controller into the chassis, however in the controller replacement documentation, we correctly state to connect power after reinstalling the controller. (https://docs.netapp.com/us-en/ontap-systems/a800/controller-replace-move-hardware.html Step 10, starting with item 4.)

It appears that the other replacement documents that require removing the controller module also state to connect power prior to reinstalling the controller. (DIMM, NVDIMM, Fan, etc.) These documents should be updated to be consistent with the controller module replacement plan so that we're not inserting energized controllers into the chassis during replacement activities.

This would also apply to the A250, A400, A700s, any other system with power supplies integrated into the controller module, and their FAS and C-Series counterparts for any activities that require removing the controller module from the chassis for maintenance.

For the A250, A700s, and A800 those replacement activities would be Boot media, DIMM, Fan, NVDIMM, NVDIMM battery, PCIe Card, and RTC battery. For the A400, the same list of activities applies except for the fan replacement.

I can put individual requests in for each doc if need be, but I figured I would start here. Let me know.

Thanks, Tully
