Rocky 9.4 not working with Mediator 1.7 #1402

Please reflect that Rocky 9.4 is not working with Mediator 1.7 (maybe also below) Tested in Lab issue matches https://kb.netapp.com/on-prem/ontap/mc/MC-KBs/ONTAP_Mediator_service_installation_fails_on_Red_Hat_85

In Case i should reach out, please also let me know.

Thanks for highlighting the issue.

Rocky Linux 8 and 9 are always considered to be supported for ONTAP Mediator. This is reflected in our documentation as well:

From the KB link below, it looks like an incompatible scst issue. Would you please try to install/configure Mediator 1.8 on your Rocky Linux 9.4 system?

Install and configure Mediator 1.8 worked on two different systems with Rocky Linux 9.4. Were 1.7 was not working.

Hi @s-dolny Mediator 1.8 uses scst-3.8.0, whereas Mediator 1.7 uses scst-3.7.0. The latest Rocky Linux 9.4 OS must be compatible with the upgraded scst version otherwise it won’t work with Mediator 1.7 binaries. Could you please let us know the scst version you are using?
