Here a new block at stage 02 is provided. This performs spatial downsampling over input images.

Problems to be fixed:

if spatial downsampling is performed, the channel id to plot should also be rescaled by a factor MACRO_PIXEL_DIM*MACRO_PIXEL_DIM —> problems with plot spectrum
