Vanilla MC appears to prevent you from shooting your own steed in 1.12.2, but we've implemented a check for it anyways that at least applies when riding a pig. While your mount is safe from your own shots, it shouldn't be safe from anyone else's. Confirm other people can still shoot your horse/pig when you're riding it, and that you can shoot the mounts of mobs like jockeys/4horsemen.
