Hello all,

I can't bitstream E-AC3 to my receiver Denon AVR-X3400H.

No problem with ALL other (Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS 96/24, DTS-HD MA, DTS-HD HRA, DTS:X).

My config : Windows 10 x64 Pro (latest update) CPU/GPU AMD Ryzen 5 2400G Denon AVR-X3400H (latest firmware) MPC HC + exernal LAV filters 0.73.1

Thanks in advance.

Addition: I also tried with the example downloadable here (section 2 - Dolby Digital Puls 7.1 m2ts):

Its impossible for me to test bitstreaming with every possible hardware on this planet, since there is just way too many of them. E-AC3 bitstreaming was recently improved to actually work at all, and has been tested on a variety of receivers.

Unfortunately I cannot tell you if this is a problem with your receiver not understanding that format, with your audio device somehow screwing it up on output, or something in LAV Audio being wrong - since I cannot test.

Thanks for your answer

I understand the inconvenience, I can say that I exclude problems regarding the rest of the chain: if I playing the same files with audio EAC3 with the Windows 10 Movies and TV app (which however has a thousand other problems) the audio works and the display of the denon show DD+ correctly. Dolby Digital Plus also works with the Netflix app.

If I can help testing your patchs, I am available ..

For the rest, I think the LAV filters are at the moment the best solution for audio-video playing in a Windows environment, congratulations for all the work done and the result you have made available to users

Without problems here: Denon AVR-X1500H conected by HDMI to GPU NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 in Mainboard B450M MORTAR, CPU AMD Ryzen 5 1600X with Windows 10 x64 and player MPC-HC 1.9.20.24 with internal LAV Filters 0.76.1.0 with audio settings: mpc-hc_audio

I have no problems with my Denon AVR-3500H. However, I did have an issue a couple of weeks ago with EAC3 once when I tried a a different version of the SaneAR audio renderer enabled. I didn't realize until a bit later that MPC-HC had upgraded the MPC Audio Renderer so when I switched to that and configured MPC Audio Render settings to: WASAPI mode set to Exclusive, method set to Push, with Allow bit-exact output enabled, everything else unchecked), it started working again.

SaneAR is included in MPC as well. External SaneAR versions are outdated an unmaintained.

I have SaneAR deactivated.

Please let me know for what we need a Audio Render (WASAPI or ASIO or ...) when all audio is send to AVR Denon in digital format untouched or decoded to PCM by HDMI. We can delay audio, even remap PCM channels but the rest must be controlled by the AVR.
