My idea for custom balls in Neverputt is this:

Have four folders in ball, named putt1, putt2, putt3, and putt4. Then the copied contents of the Neverball ball would be in one of those folders.

Example: Player 1 copies the contents (not the folder) of octocat into the putt1 folder. Player 1 now has an Octocat ball.

What's the benefit of this compared to a couple config options?

What do you mean by that? Like the menu in neverball? I would like that more.
