Eg continuousEmbeddedmentInd - these are currently defined as text columns constrained to "YES" "NO". Modelling as boolean would match the ESF submission and PSCIS db.

But I guess this would fail if exporting to csv and copy/pasting into the Excel template....

yes. We were thinking of working within the current systems for now which are using excel templates (fisheries data submission as well). That is the reason for using the populated template as a value map or value relation (even better) so we get the syntax correct. Skipping the excel would be best but taking baby steps currently...
