New utility or feature to void QBO invoice if the WA invoice is voided

When an invoice is left open in QBO, it represents an open accounts receivable item. In this scenario, when the "real" WA invoice is voided, that open receivable is no longer valid. This feature would be a small step towards true sync between Wild Apricot and Quickbooks. This feature is likely limited to QBO as a QBD scenario could not search QBD to see the current state of the QBD invoice.

Design aspects to consider:

• Should this use an auto-trigger every time an invoice is edited/voided? Could lead to many operations for clients with a higher transaction load.
• If not auto-triggered, should there be a configurable time period for which it checks for voided invoices? e.g. last 60 days
• When voiding in QBO, the scenario will need to check and see if any payments have been received against the invoice in QBO already. If yes, the scenario would need to first "un-receive" the payment before voiding. This also raised the question of whether we need to check for deleted payments?
• Multiple variations of notices/warnings will need to be sent to the client for anything that cannot be resolved automatically.

Alternate manual approach for client (without a new scenario or feature):

• Change WA Member level settings. DO NOT automatically create invoices when renewal is due. The additional setting to "automatically void WA invoices on non-renewal" helps, but could still leave stranded invoices in QBO that are not voided.
• Client can periodically run a WA voided invoices report and use that to go into QBO and manually void the corresponding invoices.
