Under the main Search section, there is an option to search by Person Shown This allows the user to select from an Alphabetical listing, plus there is also a listing of Person names beginning with A that appears by default. This changes once another letter is selected.
If a name is typed into the main search box that has no direct match, the first letter of that name is used to return a longer alphabetical listing.
