Summary

We have been provided with software for the DS8, this apparently has an API for custom stimulation so might be the easiest way to achieve our goals. We need to try and install and test the software to find out! If it is terrible then we can write our own interface and send an analogue or digital output to the DS8 to trigger stimulation instead.

What needs to be done?

[x] Check if the software is linux compatible or if we need to get hold of a windows or mac PC
[x] Install the software and any updates
[x] Connect to DS8 from PC with installed software, make sure these can talk!
[x] Test a software triggered stimulation

Looks like this will require Windows 7 or higher, so out of luck with Linux. Will use either Mariol (old uni PC in office) or home owned laptops.
