I am not able to install NextBird on Linux Mint 19.1.

I installed Corebird from the main repo, then downloaded NextBird and ran ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr This is the output I get:

The file /usr/share/autoconf/Autom4te/FileUtils.pm exists.

It looks like on Debian, the autopoint program is shipped as a separate package (autopoint), and I assume it’s the same on Mint. Is that package installed on your system?

More generally, try running the following command (see also the release process):

apt build-dep corebird
leandromeira commented 5 years ago

The combination of both tips made the trick. Thanks a lot and congrats on the good work!

Okay, great :)
