It looks like on Debian, the autopoint
program is shipped as a separate package (autopoint
), and I assume it’s the same on Mint. Is that package installed on your system?
More generally, try running the following command (see also the release process):
apt build-dep corebird
The combination of both tips made the trick. Thanks a lot and congrats on the good work!

I am not able to install NextBird on Linux Mint 19.1.
I installed Corebird from the main repo, then downloaded NextBird and ran ./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr This is the output I get:
The file /usr/share/autoconf/Autom4te/FileUtils.pm exists.
