[Question] What are valid options for "UserLocation" in NexusClient.exe.config? #1145

Also is there a method to make the NMM truly portable?

Define "portable" .

As for "UserLocation" it used to manage the user selected download location, it is no longer supported by the Nexus (at least not through a mod manager, I think you can set it on the website preferences).

Ah thank you for that :)

Well portable is, for me, where the program and the settings associated with the program are in one folder together. Also the program does not leave anything in the registry.

For example, currently the settings for NMM are saved under %localappdata%\Black_Tree_Gaming\NexusClient.exeUrl(random alphanummerical nonsense)(version number)\user.config

Said config should be, for a portable program, where its .exe is located.

Ok, I would love to make a portable version, I don't like the way Settings are currently stored and managed, so this may eventually come in the future, but I can't give you an ETA.

Oh cool :) Don't worry about the ETA you're doing that without getting paid, so what will come will come with time :)
