Crash on launch after installing SKSE #1310

Describe the bug If skse64_loader.exe exists in the Skyrim install directory, Nexus Mod Manager fails to start. I can work around this by renaming it to skse64_loader.exe.bak, launching and modding with NMM, then removing the .bak. SKSE is installed correctly and fully functional, and NMM is fully functional outside of this issue.

To Reproduce

  1. Install Skyrim using crossover on mac
  2. Install NMM into the same bottle using crossover
  3. Install SKSE
  4. Launch NMM and it crashes

Additional information I think this is an issue because NMM tries to find and load SKSE as an alternate launcher. For some reason, this isn't working when running through crossover. Is there a way to disable the loading of game launchers? I would rather launch SKSE directly than through NMM.

Crossover doesn't need files to be named .exe to run as executables. I am currently working around this issue by naming the file skse64_loader.exe.crossover and adding a crossover shortcut for that file.
