Nexus mod manager has encountered an error and needs to close #506

Describe the bug Nexus mod manager closes if i try to access any of my mods for skyrim, fallout 4, fallout new vegas, etc

Environment

Please remember to attach any trace logs you get in connection to this problem. Without these it will often be very hard to track down the bug.

Additional information Anything that could help track down this problem, other software used, screenshots, etc.

Duplicate of #389, which seems to have been fixed as of 0.65.8, please download that version and see if it works better.

I got this error while updating to 0.65.8. However, upon reopening NMM, it displayed the new version number.

Your tracelog states you were using 0.65.2, that's why I suggested updating.

Are you saying you're still getting this error in 0.65.8? If so could you upload the tracelog from that crash?

I didn’t provide a tracelog in the thread with today’s post. You were probably reading the tracelog from the original poster. Actually, I was using 0.65.6. When I attempted the update within NMM I got the “needs to close” message. I was able to update to 0.65.8 by downloading it manually from Github. However, I encountered the bug of not being able to change the load order and reinstalled 0.65.6.

I just tried to update to the new version 0.65.9 and got the same error. I have attached the tracelog from that attempt. This only seems to happen to me when I try to update NMM by using it's built in update feature. I was able to download again manually from Github and 0.65.9 seems to be working perfectly. Good luck with sorting this out. I hope the tracelog helps.
