Error parsing FOMOD Info.xml file.

When downloading the mod Outcasts and Remnants by Thuggysmurf on Fallout 4, I get the following message both for an automatic and manual download installation:

Error registering this mod: Outcasts and Remnants - Quest Mod Plus - Outcasts and Remnants Error: Error parsing FOMOD Info.xml file.

Environment

Apparently it works fine for the author with Mod Organizer 2.

Here is the kicker. Even though the error is still there and I cannot install that mod with NMM, the mod itself does not contain a FOMOD. The author says this is due to NMM being on its last legs and that I should upgrade to MO2.

It looks to work fine for me, with 0.71.1...

Just to confirm, I'm adding and installing the file Outcasts and Remnants-21469-1-50-1578417528.zip.

I tried once again and got this message in NMM:

I would just add this file manually, but it consists of loose files rather than BSA archives.

I've tried it again, and it still works - both by downloading through NMM or downloading manually and adding.

As the mod author says, it makes no sense that you're getting a FOMOD error for this mod, as it is not a FOMOD... Could you use the instructions here and force the creation of a trace log, and attach it? Otherwise I can't really assist any further without reproducing the error myself.

Had the same problem, got the same error in the trace log too. Deleting the cache folder in the mods folder fixed it.
