Bug Report - Other: profiles will not load endless loading #11199

Vortex Version: 1.5.5 Memory: 15.94 GB System: win32 x64 (6.1.7600) I try to switch from 1 profile then when I try to open another prifile the vortex loads endlessly and will not load the new profile I tried it after restarting my computer also after getting the new vortex version also it refuses to load the new profile it does this periodically.

Based on the log it was not loading endlessly, you waited all of 30 seconds. Vortex was recalculating md5 hashes for your download archives which can take a while (depending on how many downloads you have).

As to why it had to recalculate those hashes (usually it only does that once after finishing the download) - well, the fact your download folder seems to be "E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\New folder\fallout4" leads me to assume you got drunk one night and did unspeakable things to your Vortex install...

Vortex Version: 1.5.6 Memory: 15.94 GB System: win32 x64 (6.1.7600) sorry for not saying this the right way the first time I meant to say that the profile page with the mods for fallout 4 still will not open and does nothing but endlessly load then I look up the status on it and it says time and again error after error.I have attached my vortex state file to this as proof as I am done trying to find a fix for why fallout 4 and fallout 4 only will not switch to its profile page on my vortex but I can still go into the game itself and play it through the f4se loader in the game files as normal just cannot switch to the fallout 4 profile on my vortex version and yes it is up to date. please tell me there is a way to get the fallout 4 mods profile open again it has been 1 month so far I have been unable to open the fallout 4 profile only all other profiles work for other games just not fallout 4 as always it is an endless loading screen in blue when I switch from other games to it. thank you for your time.

The state attachment you sent did not contain anything that would explain the long wait either. As my colleague said - your setup is unusual and I expect Steam itself might be locking that folder or modifying file attributes causing Vortex to go haywire. Change your downloads directory and try again.
