Vortex Version: 1.6.7 Memory: 15.94 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19043) The previous version had an image of the game next to the tool and also displayed the number of active mods, but in 1.67 they are gone, and the display is unnecessarily large and unnecessarily large. bring it back

I'm going to use this ticket to gather all complaints about the new Tools Dashlet and the tool icons in the titlebar. Since some people seem to have overlooked this: The icons in the titlebar are in addition to the dashlet, they don't replace it.

Vortex Version: 1.6.7 Memory: 63.93 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19044) Depending on the icon used for the tool, it possible to not be able to see the star that is supposed to represent the default tool. My suggestions would be have the icon be right-justified at the end of the tool title. Problematic tool icon attached.

Vortex Version: 1.6.7 Memory: 31.92 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19043) The Toolbar add some functionality, but in my opinion the old UX block for tools provided a cleaner display of information and execution of these external tools.

Vortex Version: 1.6.7 Memory: 15.42 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19044) The active game being changed to appear as an ad banner up top was a horrible decision (prompting users to go premium, no less), please undo this.

Vortex Version: 1.6.7 Memory: 31.85 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.22000) in it's place there's a "getting started" set of video's, the dashboard execution area for the current selected game is not there

Vortex Version: 1.6.7 Memory: 15.96 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19044) I get moving the play button next to the 'go premium' I also get that it's a bit trashy, especially since you cannot disable the ad. Ad overload these days is really hitting oversaturation . please consider removing the ad, moving it away from being 'ACCIDENTALLY' (lol accidentally) selected, or moving the play button back to it's spot it didn't need removed from.

Vortex Version: 1.6.7 Memory: 5.95 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19044) After the new update I restarted the computer and then I opened vortex mod manager when I wanted to play fallout 4 which is the only game vortex is managing but the game doesn't show up on my dashboard so I need to boot up the through the script extender which has caused me several crashes recently for some reason.

Vortex Version: 1.6.8 Memory: 7.92 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19043) To whom it may concern,

Having trouble getting used to the new layouts on each tab, particularly the change from dashboard not having a list of the games supported and ready to launch, It used to, on the dashboard have "clusters" of the game launch button, mixed with each editor right next to the launch button, this made it useful to use the dashboard, giving clear direction of whether you want to launch the game with (or without) the script extender (morrowind, fallout 3) and any extra modders or editing resources within the cluster (div box) and also whether you want to access the games directory and other options all was convenient before, and intuitive to someone like me who isn't well versed in editing environments.

I come to say that this new design may effect my considerations between paying for premium, and others for considering to pay for premium because of "ease of use" (people I would recommend vortex to). Also while negotiating other resources I may have to consider when it all comes down to pricing and feasibility. I'll gladly consider paying for a premium service if I do consider making my own mods as feasible (is paypal an option? or in the future work towards?) and that vortex will be an asset to my creative process.

Anyways,

I understand that the new launch button is restricted to the top left corner of the app, and something like the CS (Construction set for Morrowind) is now tacked on with a "inner" toggle able option to appear (default OFF) While this seems more intuitive and minimal, it actually isn't. All the places that I used to find stuff is now filled with "spam" and "ads" This is counter-productive to the people that actually would want to use vortex as a collective hobby.

As it stands now the functionality of vortex is beginning to simplify itself but it isnt, the design choice is poor, and i would suggest an earlier build to be refined, or some sort of trial version of premium with a reliable source of feedback to further give the contributing members a valuable way to give feedback so things like this don't happen, or even, make something like a github fork available so members could have their own curated or "team" version of vortex.

Vortex Version: 1.6.8 Memory: 23.93 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19043) The new update completely rearranged my dashboard, and had the tools all the way on the bottom of the dashboard as opposed to having it at the top, thankfully that is something you can change on the user end. One thing you can not change however is how the tools are aligned within the dashlet. Before the update tools were a little more compact which I liked a lot as it still provided the name without taking too much space. But the new line up forces me to stretch the dashlet across the entire dashboard in order to have all my tools show up without having a scroll bar.

I am not a fan of this change, as it messes with the muscle memory I have had for Vortex over the past 3-4 years modding with it. I would like some kind of option to change it into a more compact form like how it was in the previous update if possible, as when I try to squeeze the dashlet back into a form where it somewhat resembles how it was, it snaps into a larger size.

Vortex Version: 1.6.14 Memory: 15.92 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19043) I don't like the way the tools are on the dashboard. I had what I needed on it and the new one puts like every tool on it, most of which I rarely need, and half of them won't launch from there so I have to find the exe and launch it there.

Vortex Version: 1.6.8 Memory: 23.93 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.19043) This is an extension of my last suggestion, where I forgot to really mention some things that I wanted to add. Apologies for not condensing this to the previous one I put in.

The current Tool dashlet is a downgrade from the one seen pre-1.6, it's less intuitive and makes modding less efficient as this is a staple of Vortex and messes with existing muscle memory. There's no way to condense it down to a smaller factor without having a scrollbar or using the top screen. Either of which I'm not a fan since this has messed with my muscle memory of using Vortex for several years. As of right now only the icons are clickable when it comes to opening tools within the dashlet, which isn't intuitive and left me confused on why my tool wasn't starting when clicking on it's name or the rest of the long bar it was held in. My suggestion is mostly to make it more customizable within the inside of the dashlet, to the point of even being able to bringing back the pre-1.6 style.
