I also don't know if anyone else feels the same as me, but I feel it would be much better and so much more convenient if the Mass Effect games were supported on Vortex. @oddpoet sounds like that mute might have some spare bandwidth; would sure be nice to have 3 people catering for the moans and groans of over 100k daily users instead of just 2.

Might I suggest you report your Vortex issues through the internal feedback system prior to complaining about not getting any help on some random github issue ?

Many of the Mass Effect mods are using a "proprietary" installer method developed and solely used by the ME3Tweaks mod manager. Developing game extensions to support these games would require us to reverse engineer ME3Tweaks to be able to support all of its mods - not a trivial task, and certainly not something high on our priority list given our limited resources. In the meantime the correct mod manager to use for the Mass Effect games is indeed the ME3Tweaks mod manager which @oddpoet kindly linked above.

BTW @oddpoet if you're not too busy sitting under your bridge, you could always have a look at Vortex's extension system and perhaps write the game extensions for the ME games yourself. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Creating_a_game_extension_for_Vortex

After reading this Github post a bit better, I now realize it's meant to track development efforts for Mass Effect Vortex extensions. I sincerely apologize for being so ignorant and will be crawling back under my bridge now.

Thank you for taking time to open this request for Vortex. You may have seen our recent news post letting our users know that we are currently working on developing a successor to Vortex; Nexus Mods App which will deliver the next generation of mod management.

With this in mind, we are undertaking a review of all outstanding Vortex requests to determine their validity. As there is no existing extension for Vortex for this game, it is unlikely that we will commit to creating one for Vortex and instead consider adding support for the game in the Nexus Mods App. That said, if a member of the community submits an extension for verification then this could be an alternative way that the game may acquire support in Vortex.

As a result, this request will be closed here and passed to the Nexus Mods App team for their consideration in its design & development.
