Your report contains too little information #4637

You sent in a bug report that contains little to no information and is therefore not useful.

When you send in a report, provide all information that could be useful to us in the first report. Don't send in a one line report "it don't work" and expect us to ask you personally for added information, that's a waste of time and it would require you have a github account.

Just take a minute or two to provide as much information as you can, this improves the chance of getting the problem fixed a hundredfold.

Every bug report needs to contain

Depending on the situation these things are often useful

If the bug refers to mods, always include the name of the mod, the exact version and variant and a link.

If the bug refers to a file on your system (something like "savegame can't be parsed", "ini file can't be read") - include the file in your report.

In general: use some common sense. Include whatever you think might help us find the problem.

We usually can not fix issues that we can't see for ourselves and even when we can we can't verify if the fix works so sending a bug report that demands we just "trust you" on something doesn't make sense, whether we trust you or not doesn't matter. If we can't verify a bug exists we can't verify when it's fixed.

Vortex Version: 0.18.14 Memory: 23.94 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.17134) So, I recently moved to Vortex because NMM was no longer being supported, but when I go and try to download the file they just don't download in vortex. I'll click download, I'll get the message saying it's downloading through vortex and then when I look its just not.

Vortex Version: 0.18.16 Memory: 15.94 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.17763) Mods fail to install correctly using Skyrim. Tes5Edit fails to locate when cleaning report. I did just use Wyre bash patch on Fallout 4 not sure if that is the problem.

Vortex Version: 0.18.16 Memory: 15.93 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.17134) Whenever Vortex asks if I want to save changes to the modified mods, the use newer or save changes options just deletes the files. Good thing I had backups. Now I just have to keep copying those backups to the data folder everytime Vortex deploys mods.

Vortex Version: 0.18.16 Memory: 31.93 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.17763) Been happening since the last update, one that I either reinstall or a new install do this and tell me I have more than one copy of the mod and want me to choose to overwrited or not. If I cancel out of that window I can enable the mod normally so not a big problem, the workaround is easy....

Vortex Version: 0.18.16 Memory: 31.92 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.18885) When I attempted to 'update and install' the latest 0.18.16 build from 0.18.15 after the update was complete there were no profiles shown for Skyrim SSE (the only game). It appeared to be a clean install and not an update.

Vortex Version: 1.0.0 Memory: 11.89 GB System: win32 x64 (6.3.9600) Isn't there some way I can get a new vortex with FNIS already installed? I've uninstalled and reinstalled Vortex, but somehow I always end up with the same old broke one, no FNIS. SkyUI won't work in it either, keeps saying it's redundant even when it shows only one application in the mods list, plus, I get an error message saying my SkyUI is only partially working. It's gotta all work in order for my game to function propperly, and in order for me to be able to configure mods such as iHUD while in game. Thanks. Phil.

Vortex Version: 1.0.0 Memory: 7.96 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.17763) When attempting to activate the Witcher 3 in the games menue it comes up with a normal profile question I select defult it then begind loading and a overlay appears informing me to accept the permissions pop up. Said pop up appears and I promtly accept but nothing happenes Vortex appears to freze with no control of it I have to use task manager to close it. I have tried to wait a short time to accept the permission pop up thinking perhaps I accepted to fast but to no effect. This has so far happened every time of my 8 attempts.

When importing mods from MO2 using the FO4 instance, it'll give me the object to import all those mods. However, when the "importing" is finished, I check to see not a single mod has been transfered over, nor any plugins. I've tried this with Fallout 4, and Fallout New Vegas and neither work.

Now the choices are different, none allows me to access bodyslide for my F4 mods. Most choices start running Fallout. Is there a different path to bodyslide?

Vortex Version: 1.0.0 Memory: 15.96 GB System: win32 x64 (6.1.7601) When I go to download a mod from nexus, the download button doesn't start the download. I can manually download the file and then use the Vortex download from file option. Finus is run before and after downloading all mods. I was hoping this would self correct, but it's been this way since the 24th of July. It is not failing occasionally; the down load function will not initiate using the Nexus mod download button. All my mods are being downloaded in Nexus in preparation for using Vortex, and Vortex is my default engine.

It always says "Please install the current version of .net (at least version 4.6)". The Problem is not because of my PC, so i don't know what to do.

I reinstalled all of vortex and it still won't.

Then I found out that they all came over with Fallout 4 for some reason.

As extremely frustrating as it is I just decided to uninstalled, and redownload, but I really don't know why it didn't register as disabled in vortex's detection system.

Vortex Version: 0.19.1 Memory: 15.94 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.17134) I set-up FO4 as instructed. I loaded several mods and enabled them. Once enabled, I got missing masters errors which told me that the DLC's were missing. They are installed on Steam, but Vortex does not recognize them.
Also, the FO4 esm is loaded at the end of my mods instead of at the top, as it should be.

Vortex Version: 1.0.0 Memory: 7.87 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.18362) When ever I try to deploy or install a mod onto Vortex the user access control dialog will appear and when I click yes to allow the changes to be made. Vortex gets stuck on this screen where it says "Please confirm the "User Access Control" dialog even though I already clicked yes.

Vortex Version: 1.0.0 Memory: 11.94 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.18362) When I attempt to activate a game, Vortex locks up. The activate progress bar is at about 1/3. I get the UAC warning (UAC is not active on this computer) and click on cancel. After that, nothing happens.

Vortex Version: 1.0.0 Memory: 15.92 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.18362) Sometimes when disabling a few mods would cause the plugin list of Skyrim SE and Fallout4 to disable all active plugins. closing and relaunching Vortex before it completes a resorting of plugins fixed it but when the autosort completes its task, it will disable all plugins and will need to manually re-enable them all.
