Can you provide some additional information for this? Did your system crash previously during deployment? Is c: a NTFS volume?

Hey Tannin,

The Partition of the drive is ntfs ,

Yes indeed , there was a blue screen of the death while I was trying to remove this particular mod.

After that the system was restarted and got the error while trying to reinstall it.

As a work around I’ve deleted the affected json file and vortex created new one.

Looking through the log there seems to be two issues. Vortex says it can't locate the directories in either AppData/Roaming or the SkyrimVr folder. The directories both exist and can be accessed in File Explorer. From there, mods fail to deploy due to an unexpected token in JSON at position 307200--see file attached.

The error seems to be caused by Vortex being interrupted while writing out the manifest. Which is odd because it's written in such a way that it should be all or nothing. Next release (probably 0.16.1) will contain even more careful writing for this file but for the time being, the best solution when this happens is to "Purge" and then "Deploy" again.

Repeating what I posted above: When you encounter this issue, please update to at least version 0.16.5, then "purge" and then "deploy" manually.

If you encounter this error even after you previously deployed that game successfully with 0.16.5 or later, please be sure to report it again.

The mods seem to download and are enabled correctly, but then I get a message "Failed to deploy mods". When clicking on the "more" button (for the failed to deploy message) I get a detailed notice "Unexpected token in JSON at position 0".

This has happened with every mod I have tried since downloading the vortex update yesterday. I tried to re-install vortex (thinking that I had a bad install) and it still gives me the dame error messages. I followed the instructions as per Gopher's youtube video for installation, as I did when I initially (several weeks ago) weitched to vortes. The first time it worked (if with a steep learning curve for me), but after having to recently reboot my opperating system on my pc, the vortex manager has not deployed my mods (this includes 21 sepperate attempts to download the vortex mod manager).

When opening up Skyrim SE and load a save I notice that the games crashes. Everytime I load the save it crashes but I found out it was the masterlist that couldn't be updated and after using LOOT. Looking into it, the thing said it had a corrupt loose file. For the deploy it won't work after disabling and enabling a mod. It said unexpected token at JSON in postion 0.

Vortex Version: 0.16.15 Memory: 5.98 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.17134) Been trying to fix this problem. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Fallout 4 and vortex. I tried prging mods and changing folders but nothing is working.

Tried downloading texture 1 to replace the skyrim map (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25501?tab=files). Vortex was not already open and tried opening on its own, which has worked fine in the past. Then I tried opening Vortex from the desktop and it crashed before starting.

So I was downloading a couple of mods things going butter smooth when my pc froze and I had to restart. I was running Vortex with mods downloading at the time, spotify and chrome. When I restarted the computer vortex now tells me "Failed to deploy mods" whenever I enable or disable mods. I first thought the issue was with a mod a was trying to install, but I disabled a mod and it gave me the same message. Something happened when it crashed it seems

When I go to deploy a mod it will say "Failed to deploy mods"

I have a problem which doesn't let me use vortex mod manager for Skyrim Special Edition. The reason for this problem is that when I enable or disable my installed mods, vortex always tell me in a red rectangle "can't deploy the mods" and if you click in more information, it tells you that the issue is related with "Unespected token JSON position 0".

I've reinstalled Fallout 4 and the same errors and bugs occur. I keep reporting the error and I keep receiving the message, "it's been fixed, update vortex". Please advise. In order to reproduce the error, simply install and attempt to deploy a mod.

Vortex Version: 0.17.11 Memory: 31.86 GB System: win32 x64 (10.0.17763) The mods appears to downlosd and install fine, however when the enable selection is made the error "Failed to deploy mods " is produced everytime. This issue happens on all mods. When the more tab is selected on the notification it states that an Unexpected token in JSON at position 0. Tried uninstalling Vortex and re installing but issue still persists.
